lyrics

Not knowing… Still showing signs of what was completely ignorant.
To disregard a life—one in which pride was broken. A wayward boy still smokin’…
What would his father say? If he was sober enough to know his son was lost?
Still breathing… No reason for alarm—a distressed reaction.
A disregarded life—tomorrow he won’t be living. Can’t see the signs he’s giving…
His mother will soon cry when she finds out her son was “freed” at cost.
“Why did he do this?!”
It’s really not his fault. His father was never there—the damages never taught.
To this boy who lives life on the edge, his world’s about to crash,
A fall down from the ledge.
His dreams… Unseen by the many who surrounded him with hate.
To waste another life—one in which no one truly cared. And all the needles he shared…
What would his dealer say? To find his best client stone cold to the touch?
This feeling… No dealing with the pain that comes with the anger.
Another wasted life—becomes another statistic. This story’s too realistic.
There’s so much more than this. If he’d only seen that one line was too much.
“Why did he do this?!”
It’s really not his fault. His father was never there—the damages never taught.
To this boy who lives life on the edge, his world’s about to crash,
A fall down from the ledge.
“Why did he do this?”
We’re really not to fault. Our father’s are still here, those damages have been taught to us now, we live life on the edge. Our world’s about to crash way close to the ledge…
…but to far to hear a mother’s cries.
There’s help for her to get before her baby dies.
But they seem lost now with all of their crack.
So listen to my words and fight the fuckers back.
